Privacy Policy

Last updated: [updated]

Logtaj is a life-logging app by [developer]. This policy explains what happens to your information when you use it.

The short version

  • Your logs stay on your phone. We don’t have a server that stores them, and we never see them.
  • You don’t need an account.
  • Anything that leaves your phone does so because you turned it on or chose to send it.

What stays on your phone

Everything you create in Logtaj — log topics, logs, photos, stats, settings, profiles — is stored on your device. We don’t receive a copy.

If you delete the app, this data is deleted with it, unless you exported a backup first.

When information leaves your phone

Ads

Logtaj shows one labeled ad on the Home screen, served by Google AdMob. To deliver and measure ads and to prevent fraud, Google may collect device information such as your IP address, device type, and how you interact with the ad. Google never receives your logs.

Logtaj does not ask for permission to track you across other apps, so Google does not receive your device’s advertising identifier. Where the law requires consent (for example, in the EU and UK), you are asked before personalized ads are shown and can change your choice in Settings.

Google’s use of this data is described in Google’s Privacy Policy and how Google uses information from apps that use its services.

AI-assisted logging (optional)

If you connect an AI service, the text you type and the logs needed to understand it are sent from your phone directly to that service to turn your words into a log. Before anything is saved, Logtaj shows which logs were shared.

  • Your own key: requests go to the provider you chose (OpenAI or Google Gemini) under your own account and that provider’s privacy policy. Your key is stored on your device.
  • [Logtaj-provided AI: describe the provider, what is sent, and retention once available.]

AI is off until you connect it.

Apple Health (optional)

If you allow it, Logtaj reads workouts from Apple Health to create logs. You choose which data types to allow. Health data stays on your phone, is never used for advertising, and is never sent to us.

Backups, exports, and error reports

Backup files and error reports are created on your phone. They leave it only when you share them yourself — for example, by saving a backup to Files or emailing an error report to us.

Purchases

[Once in-app purchases launch: purchases are processed by Apple. We receive confirmation of what was bought, not your payment details.]

What we don’t do

  • We don’t sell your information.
  • We don’t use analytics to study how you use the app.
  • We don’t read, collect, or store your logs.

Children

Logtaj is not directed at children under [13]. [Adjust to the App Store age rating.]

Your choices

  • Delete any log, topic, or profile in the app at any time.
  • Export everything as a JSON backup at any time.
  • Turn AI, Apple Health, and personalized-ad consent on or off in Settings.
  • Delete the app to remove all of its data from your phone.

Changes

If this policy changes, the new version will be posted here with a new date.
